After a 23-year winless spell,Opoku Ware School has once again made it to the grand final of the 2025 National Science and Maths Quiz with a high hope of grabbing it this time around.

The School, as affectionately known,has industriously bagged their historic tenth final of the educative competition making it the most appearance after Presbyterian Senior High School’s record of twelve awesome finals winning eight and coming second four times.Out of all the ten appearances,OWASS has unfortunately won only two trophies making them poised for the a third in the quest to break their 23-year winless curse.

Opoku Ware School coming up face-to-face against Mfantsipim SHS and St. Augustine’s SHS,enters this year’s final as a mighty favorite with the aid of the most consistent and experienced contestant, Stephen Kofi Apemah Baah,who kicked off representing The School from as early as the first year, reappeared in the second year and finally the in third year of his SHS journey.In company with Stephen is the brilliant and smart John Kusi who also makes a second appearance on the competition.

The 2025 National Science and Maths Quiz has been one of the fiercely competed editions seeing most giants fallen off even earlier before the Semi-final stage and looks forward to sell a much more competitive final showdown slated for Thursday November 6,2025.
